Five poll types for five different kinds of questions
Choose the poll format that matches the decision you are trying to make.
Choice poll
Let members pick one answer or several. Set a maximum number of choices when you want people to select more than one without selecting everything.
Image poll
Make each answer visual. Compare designs, layouts, branding options, product ideas, or anything easier to choose by looking at it.
Ranking poll
Ask voters to put every answer in order from best to least preferred. First place earns the most points, giving you a clearer view of overall priority.
Meeting poll
Propose several dates and times. Members answer Yes, If need be, or No for each option so you can quickly find the time that works best.
Yes / No / Abstain
Ask a direct question without writing answer options. Members choose Yes, No, or Abstain and the decision stays easy to read.
Image layout options
Show image polls as a large visual grid or as a compact list with smaller images, depending on the kind of comparison you are running.
Choose how people vote, not just what they vote on
Each poll can be shaped around the kind of response you want from the community.
Single or multiple answers
Choice and image polls can allow one answer or multiple answers. When multiple answers are enabled, you can also limit how many each voter may choose.
Allow vote changes
Decide whether a member’s first vote is final or whether they can come back and change it later. When vote changes are allowed, members can also remove their vote.
Hide results until voted
Let members answer before seeing how everyone else voted. After they cast their own vote, they can see the results. Results also become visible once the poll closes.
Set an end date or leave it open
Keep a poll open indefinitely, close it after 1 day, 3 days, 1 week, or choose a custom closing date and time.
Results match the kind of question you asked
Bit Connect does not force every poll into the same result view. Each format reports the information that actually matters for that kind of decision.
- Choice and image polls: see how many votes each answer received.
- Ranking polls: compare overall ranking scores and first-place votes.
- Meeting polls: see Yes, If need be, and No responses for every proposed time.
- Yes / No / Abstain: see the response totals for each position.
The total number of voters stays visible, so members can see how much participation a poll has even when the detailed results are hidden until they vote.
Keep the vote trustworthy after people start responding
Once the first vote is recorded, Bit Connect locks the parts that would change what people originally voted on.
Locked after voting starts
- Poll type
- Answer options
- How many answers may be selected
Still adjustable
- Poll question
- Closing time
- Allow vote changes
- Hide results until voted
- Image poll layout
That keeps the meaning of existing votes intact while still letting the topic author manage how the poll runs.
Voting stays inside the conversation
Members do not need a separate survey page or another tool. The poll appears inside the Bit Connect topic alongside the discussion around it.
- Signed-in members who can read the topic can vote.
- The poll shows how to respond, such as Choose one, Choose up to a limit, Rank best first, or Mark the times that work.
- Members can see their own selection after voting.
- If vote changes are enabled, they can change or remove their response.
- A poll closes automatically when its end date arrives.
- Locking the topic also closes its poll to new votes.
The result: the decision and the discussion stay connected instead of being split between a forum thread and an external survey.
Use Polls wherever a conversation needs a clear answer
Product feedback
Let customers vote on the feature, integration, or improvement they want next.
Design choices
Use image polls to compare logos, layouts, screenshots, concepts, or visual directions.
Priority setting
Use ranking polls when choosing the best option is less useful than understanding the community’s full order of preference.
Scheduling
Use meeting polls to compare several times without collecting availability in separate replies.
Community decisions
Use Yes / No / Abstain when a proposal needs a simple, readable decision.
Multi-select questions
Let members choose several preferred options while still setting a maximum when the question needs a tighter shortlist.
Common questions
What poll types are available?
Bit Connect Pro includes Choice, Image, Ranking, Meeting, and Yes / No / Abstain polls.
Can members select more than one answer?

Can voters change their vote?

Who can create or edit a poll?
