Best way to organize conditional fields in a long Bit Form?

I am building a fairly long lead qualification form with several conditional sections. It works, but the form is becoming harder to maintain as more rules are added.

For larger Bit Form setups, do you prefer grouping questions into multiple steps first and then applying conditions, or keeping fewer steps with more conditional blocks? I am interested in approaches that stay easy to update later.
